South Africa Destinations

I’ve extensively explored three major regions in South Africa: the Eastern Cape, the Cape Winelands, and the Garden Route. Each destination presents its own unique charm, from the untamed wilderness of the Eastern Cape to the coastal beauty and lush forests of the Garden Route, to the luxurious estates and exceptional wines of the Cape Winelands.

Eastern Cape Destinations

Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape of South Africa is very special to me. I’ve spent most of my life here, and I can tell you it’s a unique and undiscovered gem! There are stunning beaches, great hiking trails, wildlife parks, historic sites and a rich cultural heritage. It’s an off-the-beaten track destination that is unmatched for raw beauty and tranquility.

Garden Route

The Garden Route is a scenic stretch along the southeastern coast of South Africa, spanning about 300 kilometers (190 miles) from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to Storms River in the Eastern Cape. From hiking and adrenaline pumping activities to pristine beaches and quaint small towns, there’s a little bit of everything here.
In this section, I share insider tips, best destinations along the route and top things to see and do along the way!

Cape Winelands

The Cape Winelands, situated in South Africa’s Western Cape, is famous for its historic towns, and exceptional wine-making. It includes areas like Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl. As a wine lover who has explored a lot, I have plenty of stories & recommendations for some of the best wine estates in the area.
