The Cape Winelands, located in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, is famous for its wine production, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. With its beautiful vineyards stretching across rolling hills and surrounded by mountains, the views here are out of this world! The Cape Winelands is made up of several unique regions, each contributing its own flair to South Africa’s wine scene.

I’ve been lucky enough to explore the stunning beauty and incredible wines of most of these regions. I’ve checked out loads of wine estates and I’m here to share the scoop on the best spots to visit and what to expect at each. From historic wine estates with centuries-old cellars to boutique wineries with innovative blends, Stellenbosch has it all. I’ve visited many estates in this stunning area, finding hidden gems, tasting amazing wines, and gathering lots of personal stories and tips to share with you.

Stretching across the scenic Paarl Valley, the wine route is home to a diverse array of wineries, each with its own distinct character. From family-owned estates to larger vineyards, there is a wide range of choice here.ย ย There are a bunch of unusual spots to check out in Paarl, too, from an Alpaca Farm to a legendary farm of roaming goats & cheese. And I’m here to share them with you.ย

Surrounded byย rolling hills and panoramic views of Table Mountainย in the distance, Durbanville is the perfect setting for a relaxing day of wine tasting and exploration. The route is home to a handful of wineries, full of character and more intimate vibes.ย  As someone who has had the pleasure of exploring almost every winery here, I can assure you that there’s plenty to discover โ€“ from the traditional to the unexpected, like the delightful Macaron & MCC pairing at Canto Wines, the sensory tasting experience at Nitida or the tasting caves of Kleine Roosboom.

Constantia
Constantia

The Constantia wine region is located just a short drive from Cape Town, South Africa, making it one of the closest wine regions to the city. Today, Constantia is celebrated for its elegant and refined wines, with a focus on cool-climate varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, and Merlot. The wine estates here feature beautiful Cape Dutch architecture and lovely gardens, creating a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy the regions wines.
